Branding, print, and web design for an activism start-up.
Every heard of Groupon? Okay. Ever heard of The Point? No? Not surprising. The Point was a group-action website that helped members organize a petition for a cause (be it valiant, practical or absurd) until the group had enough backers – hit a “tipping point” – and the action behind the cause could take place. The Point was great. Groupon is The Point + money.
The Point needed a logo that conveyed the achievement of a monumental goal. What better symbol than history’s most iconic frustration overcome? Like the successful Sisyphus of revisionist history pictured in our mark, The Point conquered their cash flow issues by leveraging coupons, transforming an activist platform into one of the most notorious businesses of the 21st century. In a recent stroke of genius, Groupon reincarnated The Point as an offshoot of their larger brand. It’s called G-Team. Go check it out!
